You have questions - Coach Mike has answers...

1. Where are you located?

CoachGifts.com is located in Camarillo, California. We are strictly an Internet-based business and do not have a retail store.


2. How long will it take to get my order and how much will it cost?

We can meet just about any deadline! However if the deadline is very close, it is not always possible to produce a sample, email it for approval, then wait for a response from the customer. If we determine there will not be enough time to wait for approval of a sample, we reserve the right to ship the order without prior approval in order to meet a very tight deadline. (Usually if the deadline is within one week from that day the order is placed.) Bottom line - we will do everything possible to get an order to you whenever you must have it!

3. Will I get an email confirmation of my order?

Yes. You will receive a computer-generated confirmation right after you submit your order and then I will personally respond to every customer soon after I pick up that order. In that confirmation I'll give you the projected shipment and delivery dates and will ask any questions I may have about your order.

If you do not receive an email from us that means our email to you ended up in your SPAM folder (especially those of you on AOL) or that the email address you gave to us was entered incorrectly.

4. Can I get a sample of my design?

Absolutely...You will be able to request a sample when you are filling out your order. Generally samples are emailed the following business day.
Sorry, but my graphic artists cannot provide samples before an order is placed.

BTW - Your credit card is not charged until you approve the sample. I am happy to report that in our 10 years in business, no customer has ever canceled an order after receiving our sample.

Here’s what you can expect…I will confirm receipt of your order soon after I receive it, then the following business day, I will create a sample of your personalized design and email it to you. Your order will then be placed “on hold” until I receive your approval or your request to make changes. Generally, the first business day after I receive your response, your order will be charged and processed.

5. What happens if there is a mistake on my order?

Everybody makes errors on occasion so if there is a problem with your order, please contact me and I will take care of it. Please do not go to the trouble of returning any “mistake” item before contacting me – chances are I won’t ask to get it back. Any error discovered after a sample has been approved will then be considered a customer error.

If we made the error, I will promptly remake the product and ship it to you at no charge (obviously).

If you made the error, I will promptly remake the product and ship it to you. The cost to you will be no more than 75% (3/4) of the retail price - often less (exact replacement cost depends on the product that is being replaced). Shipping will be between determined by the item(s) being replaced.

6. What kind of guarantee to you have?

Most personalized gift business will not let you return any item that has been customized. There reason is simple...once they personalize an item, they can't sell it again so they won't take it back because if they do, they will loose money. Here at CoachGifts our policy is this..."If you aren't happy then we aren't happy!"

If you are disappointed with any CoachGift product, we will be happy to give you a refund for the purchase price (less shipping and less any "extra charges" for custom work that was then approved) as long we receive it within 14 days from the day it was delivered. Customer is responsible for all shipping charges.

7. Can we get our logo and team photo added to your products?

Yes - and can so for NO additional charge.

8. If I have a special request or specific color scheme in mind for my design, can you do it?

Probably so…. Just drop me an email or include a message with your order detailing your requests and I’ll get back to you. (You will have an opportunity to include a message to me when you are filling in your payment and delivery info.)

9. Can I place an order by phone or FAX?

Sorry, no. Due to the amount of detailed personalization required to create each of our CoachGifts products, it is a requirement that the order be placed directly on the CoachGifts.com web site (or via email with prior approval). Doing so will virtually eliminate any chance of spelling errors on my end, since we “copy and paste” much of the team information (and ALL names) from the original order when personalizing your chosen design.

10. I’ve tried calling your phone number but nobody answered. What gives?

Because almost all of our orders and the overwhelming majority of questions arrive via the Internet, we very rarely get phone calls so we don't always keep "normal" work hours. We are extremely responsive to email questions (unlike many businesses out there) so email is the best way to reach CoachGifts.com (We also try to check our email at night and on weekends.) If you want to call, mornings are the best time to reach one of our team members. (Don't forget, we are located in California).

11. I’m confused. When poking around on the Player Gifts order form I clicked on… Quantity: How many do you want? I see nothing but a bunch of confusing numbers. What then heck does all that mean?

Sorry about the confusion. I agree - all those numbers look crazy.

Here is an example of what you’d see in the drop down box if you selected a quantity of 6 bag tags. … 6 for $35.70//$17.85(+17.85)

The first part of this example …6 for $35.70… is the quantity selected and total price for that quantity (In this case, 6 items for a total of $35.70, which is $5.95 each).

Since you asked...

The second part of this example…//$17.85 (+17.85)…is the formula the shopping cart uses to calculate the correct amount of $35.70. In this case, 17.85 is the base price for our minimum order of 3 bag tags so the formula is… (base price) + (difference) = (total) or 17.85 + 17.85 = $35.70.

Even though this formula may seem confusing, it is the only way we have to “fool” the shopping cart into giving quantity discounts. I wish none of this were visible to my customers, but since I use Yahoo! Shopping to host my CoachGifts.com store, I am required to use their shopping cart exactly "as is".

12. Are you ever going to have anything for _______ (fill in with any sport not currently offered in the CoachGifts lineup)?

My ultimate goal is to offer personalized gifts for just about EVERY team sport because EVERY athlete and coach deserves to be acknowledged.

13. Any chance I could get something other than your Sports Designs on your products?

Absolutely! My team has created Bag Tags, Key Chains, Mouse Pads, Mugs, Recognition Awards, Plaques and Mugs for everything from Bar Mitzvahs to Family Reunions. We can individually personalize each item or they can be generic. We can use your design or come up with one for you. Send Coach Mike an email and let him know what you have in mind (event, product, and approximate quantity) and he will get back to you promptly.
